I am currently on maternity leave from doula work, due with my second baby in February 2012. Please check back in coming months for updates. In the meantime, I recommend reaching out to the NYC Doula Collective, of which I am a member. We have a number of fantastic doulas ranging across fee & experience levels.

As a labor/birth doula, I will meet with you for a 1-hour consultation so we can see if we are a good fit for each other. If you decide to hire me, I will provide:

• 1 to 3 prenatal meetings to discuss/develop your birth plan, get to know each other, and discuss any concerns or questions you may have about your impending birth;
• continuous phone and email support in the weeks leading up to your birth and for 2 weeks after;
• attendance at your birth and for up to 2 hours after the birth of your baby, including basic breastfeeding help; and
• a final postpartum meeting at your home approximately 2-4 weeks after the birth.

If you are interested, I am also experienced in babywearing and cloth diapering and happy to provide advice on either and/or direct you to helpful resources, both locally and online.
